#VanWinklehelps Sixth Annual Shoot for Literacy
October 5, 2021

This September marked Van Winkle Construction’s sixth annual Shoot for Literacy at Garland Mountain Sporting Clays. This year’s event raised a whopping $95,550 for the Matthew E Russell Foundation – our highest total ever! None of this would be possible without the participation of our teams and sponsors. In particular, we want to shout out to our Marksman sponsors 84 Lumber and T&M Tilt-Up as well as our most generous High Brass Sponsor, TMC Cranes, for their support.

Awards, Lunch, and Prizes

This year, the sharpest shooters triumphed over 28 four-man teams to be the best in their respective classes. In addition to a hearty bacon and egg breakfast, participants enjoyed a barbecue lunch complete with a selection of gourmet cookies and brownies. Our lucky raffle winners returned home with one of five fabulous prize packages: Benelli Montefeltro OU rifle, Traeger pellet grill, Phantom 3 DJI drone, and one of three YETI coolers.
