12Stone Buford reached another milestone towards completion! Church members and the construction team alike gathered to celebrate the church’s official topping out.

“…As you build this project, you are a part of something bigger,” said Pastor Sean Myers as he addressed the team in the future 650-seat church sanctuary.

12Stone Church, listed in Outreach Magazine as the #1 fastest growing church in America and as the fortieth largest church in the United States with an attendance of 9,636 in 2010, selected Van Winkle to renovate and build multiple church locations for their growing congregation. The 12Stone Buford location is Van Winkle’s sixth church project for 12Stone, and the congregation can hardly contain their excitement for their new, permanent house of worship. Currently, they hold services at nearby Lake Lanier High School and have no building of their own.

The new 33,000 sf 12Stone Buford project scope includes a sanctuary with state-of-the-art audio/visual capabilities, classrooms, cafes, kid’s play area, offices, nurseries, and worship assembly rooms for the elementary and high school, as well as paving and landscaping. The building is right on schedule for a grand opening in fall 2018.
