Van Winkle Construction, long known for high standards of Safety, has bolstered our safety staff with the addition of Daniel Alers as full-time Safety Coordinator.  He has more than 13 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.

Alers will work in conjunction with Site Superintendents on projects.  Reporting to our Safety Director, his responsibilities will include conducting inspections and meetings.  He will interface with Van Winkle staff, subcontractors, architects and owners as he ensures compliance with all OSHA and Van Winkle Safety guidelines.

Alers is bilingual in English and Spanish and his safety credentials include:

• OSHA 500
• OSHA 30-hour
• OSHA 10-hour
• National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)
• First Aid and CPR

Before joining Van Winkle, Alers previously worked in similar capacities at other general contracting companies.  He has worked on high-profile projects such as:  Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport Concourse C, Woodruff Arts Center, the new World of Coke, Phillips Arena, Scientific Atlanta and more.
