Winner of the 2016 Build Georgia Project, our team fought through challenges in staffing as our lead Superintendent developed a second form of cancer.
Finishing this project with excellence was our rally cry for his fight with the disease. As a design-bid-build project, there were challenges with the drawings where we had to carry allowances in the budget. In addition, we managed a 25% increase in the budget due to Owner driven change orders. Almost 22,000 Man-hours worked with ZERO Lost Time Accidents, exceptional safety training and building the project on time. This was a significant project to the community as it was in the beginning of the recovery from the recession. We used as many local subcontractors as possible and achieved a 70% use of local subcontractors and suppliers. We are very proud of our team and their accomplishment to win this prestigious award.
