Zion Baptist Church Worship Center
Zion Baptist Church , one of the oldest churches in Georgia, selected Van Winkle to construct a new worship facility addition to the original campus. Van Winkle took special care in creating a cohesive whole from the existing historic campus and the new addition. The new addition includes a sanctuary, fellowship hall, music rehearsal suite, and classrooms. The project scope included paving improvements, including the addition of 96 paved spaces in the parking lot.

St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church Additions and Renovation
Van Winkle completed three projects for St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church including a new sanctuary, new education wing, and a conversion of the previous sanctuary into a fellowship hall. FEATURES New Sanctuary The 1,300-seat neo-gothic sanctuary features a rear balcony, 100-seat adoration chapel, and choir practice area. This tilt-up concrete structure required 600 cubic yards of concrete for its panels and reaches 40 feet in height at its tallest point. The new structure attaches to the converted fellowship hall.

Free Chapel Gwinnett Interior Renovation
The Free Chapel Gwinnett renovation is the first Van Winkle’s projects for Free Chapel. The second is the Free Chapel Braselton campus. Renovated areas include worship spaces, offices, meeting areas, education areas, nurseries, playground, and an outdoor patio. The project scope also included minor exterior renovations and a new entryway. FEATURES Education and Nursery Wing The education areas include separate learning and worship areas for high school, middle school, and elementary school.

Decatur City Hall Addition and Renovation
Van Winkle’s renovation and new construction for the Decatur City Hall improved the facility while maintaining its historic façade. This project increased the overall size of the building and upgraded the existing structure’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. FEATURES Capacity Expansions Van Winkle’s expansion to Decatur City Hall affected every internal feature of the building.

Van Winkle’s work for ChristChurch Presbyterian on Atlanta’s Peachtree Road included the renovation of the original 1960s administrative building and the addition of a fresh, contemporary space for worship, education, and fellowship. The project’s functional and aesthetic urban character suits the church’s diverse Atlanta community. FEATURES Renovation Renovations to the existing ChristChurch Presbyterian building included the campus’ existing administration and classroom spaces.

Worship and Fellowship Spaces St. Simons’ new sanctuary features features seating for 975.
