Bethlehem Church chose Van Winkle Construction as Construction Manager on this expansion and renovation project. The project included the addition of a new sanctuary and the transformation of the existing sanctuary into a fellowship and gathering space. This tight site project maintained active operations for the duration of the work. FEATURES Sanctuary Addition The new sanctuary is a pre-engineered steel constructed between two existing buildings. It ties into the renovated gathering and fellowship space.

Prince Avenue Baptist Church Worship Center
Van Winkle built the new Prince Avenue Baptist Church Worship Center in multiple phases. The two-story brick structure is an addition to the campus. It provides facilities for worship and fellowship as well as support facilities for the campus’s existing school and outdoor sports program. FEATURES Education and Youth Facilities The new facility’s youth and children’s areas support the church campus’ existing school. In addition to classrooms and a nursery, the building includes a snack area and indoor basketball court for general use.

Clark Atlanta University Thayer Hall
Clark Atlanta University Thayer Hall
Van Winkle Construction’s renovation and restoration of Clark Atlanta University ’s Thayer Hall improved it inside and out. This historic three-story building houses classrooms, laboratories, administrative offices, and a community outreach area for the college’s School of Social Work . FEATURES Improved Mechanical and Electrical Van Winkle stripped the entire building’s interiors to install new mechanical and electrical systems.

Norcross First Baptist Church Education Wing
Van Winkle integrated this new education building into the renovated existing Norcross Baptist Church, now called One Heart Church . The new building consists of a sanctuary with a capacity of 1,200, a 141 seat choir room, classrooms, and office space.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church New Sanctuary
Van Winkle constructed this new Construction Manager at Risk sanctuary building for Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on the campus’s existing site. The building contains a sanctuary with meeting space, restrooms, nursery, and childcare rooms. FEATURES Sanctuary Features The new worship center sanctuary seats 850 and features a custom pipe-digital combination organ. The building incorporates installations from the original church, including the hanging crucifix corpus and the Chi-Rho stone in the baptismal font.
