DESCRIPTION

This three story educational facility for Sherwood Baptist Church incorporates educational classrooms and fellowship areas for all ages. Van Winkle constructed this building in two phases: the first phase included all new construction and the second included the remodel of the existing church and tie-in to the new wing.

CHALLENGES
Utility management and tie-ins proved a challenge on this occupied campus. Additionally, the Owner requested each room’s HVAC be independently controlled as well as be controlled by remote. Van Winkle installed a ductless HVAC system incorporating over three miles of refrigerant lines throughout the project.

Multiple Owner-requested Change Orders and incomplete drawings complicated the project timeline, but Van Winkle completed this project on schedule.
