Exciting Things Happening at 12Stone Braselton Church

For centuries, Contractors have celebrated the moment the building structure reaches its topmost point. It’s called a Topping Out ceremony. Originally, this venerable tradition was conceived to grant good luck on a building and ward off evil spirits. Now we more commonly recognize this event as an opportunity to thank the workforce and celebrate progress made on the project.

A moment like this just happened for us at Van Winkle Construction. The 12Stone Braselton building reached this milestone with subcontractors, Owners and Van Winkle staff in attendance. And really, there’s no better way to celebrate than with a delicious BBQ meal from a local restaurant, Jack’s Old South BBQ http://www.jacksoldsouth.com/ Campus Pastor, Dan VanderWal, blessed the food and said a prayer for the safety of the workers.

This facility is a two-phased building with the first phase having seating for 240 adults and accompanying children’s ministry space. We broke ground in January and are targeted to be complete the end of 2016.
