History

Van Winkle Construction is a family-run enterprise dedicated to teamwork, communication and personal service.  Even though our beginnings in 1931 were in the depths of America’s greatest depression, Ed Van Winkle, Sr. believed then, as we believe now, that success can be achieved by offering quality work, integrity, consistency and reliability, the cornerstones on which trust is built.

Today, Van Winkle Construction continues to build that trust as one of Atlanta’s most respected General Contractors. Now under third generation leadership, we survive and prosper with much of our success being the result of repeat business from satisfied clients such as Anheuser-Busch, Lockheed-Martin, Riverside Military Academy, Clark Atlanta University, the Church of The Apostles, Prince Avenue Baptist Church, Capital City Club, Marble Mill Medical, Fifth-Third Bank, and many others.

Along the way, we have been honored with many prestigious awards, including the Best General Contractor Award from the American Subcontractors Association, numerous Build Georgia Awards from the Associated General Contractors of America, as well as safety and masonry awards.

Well versed in the latest construction techniques, we at Van Winkle fully appreciate each client’s individual needs. Whatever your building need, we are committed to meeting and exceeding your expectations. Most importantly, in an age when individual responsibility is often shirked, we back up every project with a personal pledge of satisfaction.
