Atlanta First United Methodist Church – Atlanta, GA
Project Scope:
Van Winkle fit this historic church with a new organ. It required “outside of the box” thinking to work in the existing confined space. Major renovation of the sanctuary began with the installation of the new A. E. Schlueter pipe organ. The second major milestone is the restoration of the 21 stained glass windows removed from the sanctuary and adjoining areas. The third major milestone was the repair of the copper pinnacles on the roof of the sanctuary. Additional work to the roofing was included in the project to “dry-in” the building.
