Value Engineering -- maximizing value while minimizing cost.
Our approach involves assembling a team of that best suits
the project type, we then identify alternatives to reduce the overall project
costs and enhance the value of the facility.
Personnel that have vast experience in the V.E. process and are familiar
with the local tradesmen and market tendencies facilitate all V.E. studies.
We can provide value engineering by working with the construction team to
achieve the optimum balance of cost and quality.
This process involves the construction team consisting of the client, the
architect, the engineer, sub-contractors, and materials people. A cost breakdown
estimate is prepared, reviewed and revised to keep the construction costs within
the construction budget.
During this process we:
- Aggressively
investigate significant cost effective methods and materials that may
improve the value of design.
- Bring
out the aspects of possible alternatives that will significantly improve the
owner's value.
- Provide
savings in maintenance and operating costs with less expensive material and
systems that have the same quality and proven acceptable past performance.
- Review
the status of the cost reduction summary that provides a shopping list as
well as tracks the status of approved and implemented value engineering and
cost reduction suggestions.
- Finally,
ensure changes to the scope of work are tracked and incorporated into the
construction documents.
